AS A DRESSAGE RIDER you go into the arena plaited up and hoping to paint a picture of relaxation and harmony. But difficult, ‘bad hair days’, happen to most sometime and with some sharp and spooky, inexperienced horses it can be a “teenage” phase you have to learn to handle with a cool head and horsemanship, and ride it through.
